Roddy and Taryn were married at Roodezandt wine estate near Talbach. I met Taryn at a small guest house in town to capture the preparations before we rushed off to the farm.
We did the pre wedding shoot at Betty’s Bay a few months ago and got some awesome stuff Click here to view them. I decided to post a few family portraits as I don’t usually (only because I love to post my portraits of the bride and groom). Lots of clients say they don’t want any formal shots at their wedding, but I really encourage it and formal shots only look formal or overly posed when not taken properly. I love doing family portraits, just wish sometimes that I had more time and that all the guests were into it, as sometimes you have the one person who thinks its kind of lame…well I don’t think so, and hopefully you wont either…especially if you hire me, cause I insist on making sure we get some.
It was the second time I have shot at Roodezandt and the surrounds are just beautiful, I really love the landscape and incorporating the bride and groom amongst it.
