March has turned out to be my busiest month ever!! Im having lots of fun and am going all over the Cape shooting weddings. It has been a very hectic weekend where I had 3 weddings from Friday to Sunday. Michelle (Cape Towns most valued assistant) and I were psyched. It was quite amazing to come back to the studio at the end of it all and see all the images that we were able to capture and produce. I cant wait to post more.
Here is the first wedding from Shelley and Brendon at Morganhof. I met Shelley and Brendon when I was shooting the wedding of Bonnie and Brian a few months ago at the 12 Apostles. {Going back quickly to that wedding, was a bit of a turning point for me and the way I approached capturing weddings. I had this wave of inspiration on that day due mainly to the positivity I felt from them, and also being set against the actual 12 Apostles. I had this idea to try and capture the whole of Table Mountain in one shot, and kind of make it feel “Space Like”. You can view that post here here.
Anyway, That day I captured some very different work to what I had ever done before and it really started a shift in my work which I can only describe as a surrealistic approach!.} Geez I can babble!!
Shelley and Brendon are an amazing couple and it has been great getting to know them. They are truly meant for each other and are lots of fun to hang around….and isnt she gorgeous! When we met to do the first shoot, I was going on about how I like to surf, and then found out that Brendon rips on the waves…so then I pretended I didnt know anything about surfing??
Anyway, Im very happy with the images here, and I thought it would be interesting to try and capture the night sky above the wedding before we left. Sweet!
