This past weekend I was able to work at one of my favourite venues in Cape Town (The Vineyard Hotel). The last time I worked there was last June and it was raining big time so we were only able to work inside. This time we had perfect weather. I was a bit scared (and yes I really mean scared) that it was going to be a pulsating and boiling hot day, as there has been a crazy heat wave in Cape Town recently. Well we were lucky and it was quite pleasant.
Peter and Catherine live in the UK now, and Peter is from Cape Town. 6 years ago to the day He and Catherine were married, Peter had just got off a plane back to London from visiting his home (yes Cape Town….are you following me?) Anyway, like any good ol’boy he spent the first night back in the pub. Lucky for him, that night in the pub would change his life forever. He met beautiful Catherine. It turns out, and this was one of those crazy “wow its a small world experiences” that Catherine’s family lives in Essex in the UK, and so does lots of my family. They live in South Benfleet. So when we discovered that we all new the same places and stuff like that it was a lots of shocking fun!
